Joey, some great links. I'll have to make sure to cut the alcohol out of my restaurant visits to save money. J/K, that article had some good tips.
The 100 things you can make yourself, however, seemed to me to be more aimed at being able to say 'I did this' than saving money. Seriously, make your own barbecue sauce . . . cheaper than the 99cent bottle of Kraft? Many of these cannot be made as cheaply as purchasing a similar product. And I count my time as being worth something. I love the idea, but was disappointed a little with the items which made the list.

I read the list, too. In the comments the author said that her point wasn't so much saving money as it was showing people that they COULD do certain things. It was more of a motivation thing.
